Hartanet was established in the year 2007 as a virtual property corridor for the Malaysian real estate industry, providing services and property related products to the public and investors in Malaysia as well as from all over the world.

 Hartanet has been appointed as one of the official MM2H agents by the government of Malaysia to help applicants  process their applications within a short and reasonable period of time. Hartanet was appointed in the knowledge that Hartanet is in the best position to make the stay in Malaysia a very memorable one. With its long experience and expertise in the property market, Hartanet, in conjunction with its sister company City Harta 1  can provide the necessary information in the search for a home in Malaysia.

Hartanet's growth had been shaped by the capable hands of Puan Khatijah Abdullah. Puan Khatijah Abdullah have been in the real estate business for over 30 years. In her endeavour to instill greater professionalism in the real estate industry she established the G. Institute of Real Estate Agents in 1987 in order to train and set a standard for the pratice of estate agency.

For her services in the real estate industry, she was awarded the Fellowship of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents in 1985 and was appointed to the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents in 1985 to represent all estate agents in practice throughout Malaysia till 2007. She is also a Commissioner for Oaths in since 1996.
