THE ADVANTAGES OF THE MM2H PROGRAMMES

The MM2H programme is initiated by the ruling government of Malaysia in its desire to encourage the citizens of the world to make Malaysia their second home. Towards this end the government agencies have been geared to assist MM2H participants in whatever way that they can.  The government has given certain incentives that would make the participants'  stay a comfortable and an affordable one.

To facilitate the ease of visiting the other countries in the region, the government has made available multiple entry visas to be incorporated with the social visit pass. Participants are free to travel out of Malaysia as often as they like.

The rule of not allowing foreigners to own properties in Malaysia have been relaxed, allowing those under the MM2H programme to buy a maximum of two houses, provided that the cost of the house is above RM250,000.00 each. Local banks have been encouraged to offer participants under the MM2H programme, loans to buy the houses.

To make it easy and to encourage MM2H participants to visit the various holiday resorts in Malaysia, they are allowed to bring their own car to Malaysia, tax free. Alternatively, participants are allowed to purchase one car (CKT) tax free.

MM2H applicants are allowed to have one full-time domestic help to help ease the burden of the daily household chores.

Qualified MM2H participants above 50 years with specialised skills and expertise that are require in the critical sectors of the economy, are allowed to work not more than 20 hours per week.

MM2H participants are allowed to invest and actively participate in business, subject to existing Government policies, regulations and guidelines which are in force for the relevant sectors

Participants are bound by the policies and regulations of tax in the country. However tax exemption is given to all pension funds remitted to Malaysia, provided that the participant had  stayed  in Malaysia continuously for over 184 days.

Student pass is easily obtainable to enable the children of the participants to further their education in this beautiful country.
